The board met via conference call May 15, 2008
The board approved a grant in the amount of $5,500 to a WLA ad-hoc committee. The funds will be used "to help public library foundations develop their endowment campaigns, as well as to provide foundations with information and tools to decide how to manage the funds once they are raised."
Diana Oedekoven will be retiring effective June 30, 2008. As Diana is an academic librarian, a replacement will be sought among academic librarians.
The board discussed methods to amend terms as office as all current members' terms expire in 2009. Diana's replacement will be appointed to a three-year term to expire in 2011 to start the process.
