TRAINING COMMITTEE REPORT
WYLD ANNUAL MEETING
JUNE 1, 2006
The Training committee has not met this year, as we were without a chair for the majority of the year after Kim Jones (our previous chair) moved from Wyoming. Karen Kitchens was named chair on 3/17/06.
WYLD Annual Meeting Call for Proposals
On April 14, 2006, a Call for Proposals was sent to all WYLD members. This notice was an opportunity for members to share any projects or useful procedures that improve the use of Workflows or other Sirsi/Dynix products, at the 2006 WYLD Annual Meeting. Stephan Serazin, Technical Services Librarian at Albany County responded with a proposal on What Can be Done With Reports. All Training Committee members, Brian Greene from the WYLD office and Dale Collum WYLD Network Chair, reviewed and approved Stephen's proposal.
This year, we welcomed Jason Grubb, Reference/ILL from Sheridan County Library to the Training Committee. We look forward to his participation and input on upcoming WYLD training needs.
Our blog has been inactive. One of our goals for the upcoming year is to reenergize the use of this blog. Our blog is located at http://www.blogger.com/posts.g?blogID=10375815
The Training Committee will meet at least quarterly in the upcoming year, with meeting minutes posted on the WYLD Network website. Some issues we will focus on include creating ways of marketing and encouraging the use of the WYLD Skills Checklists and training issues regarding the upcoming GL3 upgrade.
