Downloadable Audiobooks from Netlibrary for Wyoming library users

Over five thousand downloadable audiobook titles are available to Wyoming patrons from Recorded Books and Blackstone publishing on the Netlibrary website or install the free Media Center to streamline your access to eAudiobooks!

eBooks: Over 3,400 publicly accessible eBooks are available at Netlibrary. These books can be read using the ebook reader in your web browser. Additionally, Netlibrary features a popular eBook for free every month.

Getting Started - First time users must create an account on the Netlibrary site.

  • Already have an account? Go to http://www.netlibrary.com to access your account.
  • If you are in a library, log in to http://www.netlibrary.com to create an account.
  • If you are at home, log in to the State Library proxy server to create your account.
       * you will need your WYLD library card number and PIN. Click on Create a Free Account in the upper right corner of the Netlibrary site when authenticated.

Basic Facts

  • Users can download up to 10 eAudiobooks, 24 hours a day, seven days a week from Netlibrary. eAudiobooks can be played on any desktop, laptop or portable device supporting Microsoft Windows Media Player v9 and above, Musicmatch Jukebox v8.2 and above, or Nullsoft Winamp v5 and above. [Compatible media software and file formats] Library users can also transfer titles to a wide range of portable devices. [supported devices]
  • The Media Center Software is not compatible with Macintosh computers, but Mac users can use this workaround to download eAudiobooks from the Netlibrary website.
  • Approximately 700 titles in the collection are MP3 compatible, which means that they can be used on any device that supports the MP3 format, including iPods and iPhones. [supported devices]
  • eAudiobook files are "checked out" for 21 days and can be renewed at any time, but cannot be "returned" early.
  • Remote users will be authenticated for the service through the State Library's proxy server.
