The Wyoming Department of Education, in partnership with the Utah State Library for the Blind and Disabled, provides free library service to Wyoming residents who are unable to use standard print materials due to a visual, physical, or organic reading disability.
This program, also known as Talking Books, allows access to Braille and recorded books and magazines which are circulated through the U.S. Postal Service postage-free.

Eligibility
- Persons who are legally blind
- Persons with visual disabilities who are unable to read standard print clearly and comfortably
- Persons with physical disabilities who cannot hold a book, turn pages, or focus on printed material
- Persons with reading or learning disabilities certified by medical doctors as having an organic dysfunction

Please Note: After initial registration and set-up, Wyoming library patrons are served by the Utah State Library for the Blind and Disabled.

Other Services
Textbooks and other materials are available through Learning Ally. As a separate non-profit organization, they require a different application but the process is easier and faster if you are a current member of the Library for the Blind.
Additional services for the Visually Impaired (of all ages) are available through the Wyoming Department of Education.
