Patent and Trademark Depository
Library offers new Wyoming
Inventors Database
The Patent and Trademark Depository Library at the Wyoming State Library is now offering a Wyoming Inventors Database, which is available to the public. Business people, historians, genealogists or the curious, might find it helpful.
The database indexes United States patents in which one or more of the inventors are from Wyoming. Each record provides a link to the scanned patent on the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Website.
Currently, the database covers 30 years of patents issued from 1966 to present day. Pre-1966 patents will be added periodically until all those issued to inventors within the present-day boundaries of Wyoming are included.
The database offers an advanced search, frequently asked questions and links to the USPTO Website. Access the database a
http://cowgirl.state.wy.us/inventors.
TIFF software is required to view the scanned patents.
For more information, contact Dawn Rohan, WSL intellectual property librarian, at 307/777-281 or
drohan@state.wy.us. Visit the PTDL Website at http://will.state.wy.us/sis/ptdl.html.
