Programs
- The “Wyoming Minority Health Display” is presented at various locations around the state.
The display is a 30-inch by 18-inch four-panel tabletop presentation. It will be available at the following locations:
- June 1 to July 1, Wyoming State Library, Cheyenne;
- July 15 to Aug. 15, Central Wyoming College, Riverton;
- Sept. 1 to Oct. 1, Western Wyoming Community College, Rock Springs; and
- Oct. 15 to Nov. 15, Laramie County Library, Cheyenne.

- Winners in the Wyoming Library Association’s Soaring Eagle Book Awards, 2001-2002, are:
- J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban,” first place;
- Dave Pelzer’s “The Lost Boy,” second place; and
- Louise Rennison’s “Angus Thongs; and Full Frontal Snogging,” third place.

- The newly formed Friends of the Uinta County Library – Bridger Valley held two organizational
meetings in January and February prior to kicking off a “Love Your Library” membership drive.
The group’s mission is to make the branch libraries a vital part of the community.

- The new “B” street entrance of Rock Springs Library opened on Feb. 7, and an open house for the new entrance was held April 18. With the new entrance, comes additional parking in the former US WEST lot, which belongs to the city.
- The Memorial Book Program is now available at the Uinta County Library. Memorial books may be purchased in the memory of a person, living or dead, through a minimum donation of $10 to the library.
- The Dubois Branch of the Fremont County Library held an open house on Saturday, April 20.
A special dedication ceremony took place at 11 a.m. The branch library’s new address is 202 N. 1st St.
