Pig Piney plans for expansion
The staff and community of the Big Piney Library are planning for the library’s second expansion in 12 years, with a planned start date of May 1, 2002.
In the works since 1999, the new addition will double the size of the current library.
The library is almost at full capacity; the new space will allow the library to double its holdings during the next 10 to 15 years. An increase of how much the library is used is another factor for the new addition.
County commissioners have budgeted $800,000 for the new renovation.
