‘Collection Access and Management’
Collection Access and Management (SISLT Q313) will be offered to Wyoming librarians as a summer course through the University of Missouri-Columbia. The online course begins June 11 and ends Aug. 2.
The classroom component will be held at Laramie County Community College July 11 and 12 and Saturday morning, July 13. Low-cost dormitory rooms are available.
Registration continues until May 2 and can be completed online at and may be taken as a three-hour graduate or undergraduate credit.
Intellectual freedom, diversity of information, and policies for collection are a few of the areas covered by the course. More in-depth information is available at the registration Website. The course satisfies a master’s degree school media certification. Dr. Charley Seavey will teach the course.
Funds from the Library Science and Technology Acts (LSTA) and McMurry Foundation may provide grants to help offset some of the tuition costs.
